Magical hair treatment for hair and scalp health!

Ok so you guys already know I’m a big fan of all these natural herbs that are absolutely amazing for the hair and have been working wonders for my hair thank GOD! Lol. So, here is the break down of this magical hair treatment. Below are all the ingredients I used to prepare this magical treatment and all the benefits you reap from them!

Once you add all of these herbs into the saucepan turn on the fire to its lowest heat and stir the herbs for 3 minutes then shut off the stove. Add all oils with proper measurements and turn heat on again to lowest heat and stir herbs and oils together for 3-5 minutes then turn off.

Let the oils mixed with herbs cool down. Once it’s cooled you pour over your favorite curl friendly conditioner or deep conditioner to the consistency you like. Below are conditioners I use you don’t have to mix then you can use only on conditioner or deep conditioner of your choice it doesn’t have to be these.

                     ~MAGICAL HERBS~

~HENNA~ it’s an herb that comes from India. The benefits of this herb are just magical. Henna is a conditioner for the hair that adds shine, volume, natural acid-alkaline balance on your scalp and cleanses it of dirt without stripping away the oil and natural balance unlike chemical-based products. It also promotes hair growth, reduces hair fall, dandruff and other scalp problems.
~SHIKAKAI~  This herb that grows in India is highly popular for promoting hair growth, preventing dandruff, and strengthening the hair directly from its roots.

And as I mention in a precious post “SHIKAKAI” means “Fruit for the hair” .

~BRAHMI~ is another Indian herb and used both in Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine as I mentioned in my previous post too. Brahmi helps with Strengthening the roots of your hair, makes the hair denser, shiny, longer and dark toned, it controls dandruff, and it reduces the amount of hair loss. If you’re experiencing thinning of the hair then you should make this part of your hair treatment regimen.

~AMLA~ has tannins, vitamin C, and is astringent which is very beneficial to the hair! This herb adds texture, volume, wave, defines your curls, adds shine to your hair, promotes hair growth, and makes your hair thicker and stronger.

~MORINGA~ improves the physical appearance of the hair to a great extent because of its abundance of vitamins, minerals and amino acids which are paramount in the formation of keratin protein.

Moringa has a high content of vitamin A, thus promoting hair growth and maintenance because deficiency of vitamin A can cause dryness, brittleness and dandruff. Vitamin A plays an important role in reduction of hair loss.

The Moringa plant also contains zinc which stimulates hair growth by enhancing the immune function. Zinc and silica along with vitamin A prevents drying and clogging of the sebaceous glands. Sebaceous glands are responsible for production of sebum( what keeps your hair shinny and nourished)

Vitamin E contained in moringa is a powerful antioxidant that stimulates blood circulation around the scalp. Proper flow of blood to the scalp helps in the absorption of more nutrients available in the hair follicles.

Hair loss occurs due to the deficiency of vitamin B- especially B6, biotin, inositol and folic acid. Proper blood circulation to the scalp enables hair follicles to grow stronger and healthier. Vitamin C together with vitamin E helps in the improvement of blood circulation in the scalp.

                      ~MAGICAL OILS~

~COCONUT OIL~This oil gets deep into your hair follicles stimulating new hair growth and making the strands strong preventing breakage and split ends which allows you to retain length. The added bonus is that it makes the hair shiny and super soft.

~CASTOR OIL~ Castor oil has natural antibacterial and antifungal properties and is high in Vitamin E, minerals, proteins, and Omega 6 and 9 beneficial fatty acids. Its unusually high ricinoleic acid ratio makes it beneficial to skin and hair.

Castor oil can be used on the scalp to help prevent and remedy hair loss and it is effective at this for several reasons. It’s antibacterial and anti fungal properties make it beneficial against follliculitus, dandruff and scalp infections and its ricinoleic acid content helps increase circulation to the scalp and improve hair growth.

Ricinoleic acid is also said to help balance scalp pH which can also help replenish the scalp’s natural oils and undo some of the damage of harsh chemical hair products (and even damage from no-poo, due to over alkalinity). The antioxidants in castor oil also support the keratin in hair and help make hair stronger, smoother and less frizzy.

~SESAME OIL~Sesame oil increases the scalp circulation as it has a high penetration ability, which promotes hair growth. Even when your hair has been damaged badly with chemicals, sesame oil can help you regain the hair health due to its high penetrating power. This is why sesame oil for hair growth is so widely popular.

Another benefit of sesame oil is that it is a natural sunscreen. Applying sesame oil on your scalp prevents the damage caused by the ultra violet rays. Sesame oil forms a protective coat around the hair, protecting it against the harmful rays and also saves it from the damaging effects of pollution and preventing dryness.

~TEA TREE OIL~Tea tree oil has many natural antifungal, antibacterial, antiseptic, antiviral, and anti-infection properties which effectively deal with certain hair-related problems.

Tea tree oil removes dead cells, unblocks hair follicles, and boosts the immune system which is then able to fight against infections that lead to hair loss, thus preventing head lice and dandruff.

The oil moisturizes hair and keeps the scalp free from fungal and bacterial infections, preventing dry and itchy scalp and blocked hair follicles.

~PEPPERMINT OIL~First of all, peppermint oil is going to rejuvenate your hair follicles and will help your hair grow directly by increasing the hair follicles’ activities and also shielding them from germs and yeasts, on the long run, this is going to make your hair follicles live longer and also be more productive.

Peppermint oil will bind to your hair roots and also improve your scalp health, by increasing blood flow and healthy blood circulation, this is going to increase your hair growth

Your scalp’s pH level is extremely important for keeping it moisturized and healthy, if it rises, your scalp is going to become extremely acidic and very dry, that is why peppermint oil is used as a very efficient coolant and dry scalp

~EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL~Prevent DTH Hormones Production this is hormone called DTH is the culprit in many cases of hair loss, as it causes the hair follicle shaft to narrow and olive oil actually stops this from happening, which means you can hold onto your hair for longer. Extra virgin Olive oil is loaded with antioxidants which keep the skin of your scalp in better shape it fights off fungi and bacteria, dandruff, improve blood circulation which increase blood flow to stimulate follicles to produce thicker strands.

Keep in mind that olive oil used alone is an excellent way to prevent or slow hair loss.

~SHEA BUTTER~Unrefined Shea butter is an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory and has so many health benefits for skin and hair because it contains antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties which contains Vitamin A, E, and others, that protect our bodies from free radicals.

Whatever is good for skin is good for our scalp.  Unrefined Shea butter has anti-aging benefits because of it’s collagen production, which contributes to youthful skin and it keeps premature wrinkles at bay.  It also restores elasticity in our skin. It soothes dry, itchy and irritated scalp, without clogging our pores, so that our hair can grow without any obstructions or hinderances.
